How to Treat Fire Ant Stings on Dogs

Fire ants are prevalent in the Southeastern United States. These insects are extremely aggressive and they can deliver painful stings with little provocation. Pets, especially dogs, are most vulnerable to their stings. For instance, if a dog walks within a few feet of the ant nest, these insects will start attacking, leading to dozens of painful and irritating stings. The dog may suffer from itching, swelling, infection, and some may even have severe allergic reactions.
As a pet owner, you must know how to administer first aid treatment for fire ant stings on your dog. If your dog has been bitten by these aggressive insects, you must follow this simple first aid treatment.
